Bout of Books 23 (August 2018) Goals and Daily Progress Updates

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda Shofner and Kelly Rubidoux Apple. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 20th and runs through Sunday, August 26th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 23 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

As always I’ll be using this blog for the majority of my updates during the read-a-thon, but you can also find me on Twitter.

Updates

Monday

It’s Bout of Books time again. I’m hoping to get some good reading time in later today so will update on the day’s progress tomorrow.
Happy reading everyone!

Tuesday (Monday’s Progress)

So, how did everyone get on with the first day of reading? I’ve made a start on Fatal Inheritance and I think it’s going to be really good. I’ve never read anything by Rachel Rhys before, and I enjoy finding new-to-me authors.

Number of pages I’ve read today:  50
Total number of pages I’ve read:  50

Wednesday (Tuesday’s progress)

I managed another 50 pages of Fatal Inheritance today. I didn’t think I’d have as much time to read so I was quite pleased. It’s a really good story, and I can’t wait to see what revelations lie ahead.

Number of pages I’ve read today:  50
Total number of pages I’ve read:  100

Thursday (Wednesday’s progress)

Nothing to report today. Not a single page. Hopefully will do better tomorrow!

Number of pages I’ve read today:  0
Total number of pages I’ve read:  100

Friday (Thursday’s progress)

I had a much better day for reading, and made up for yesterday’s total lack of progress. I managed another 100 pages. I’m past half way through my book now, so I’m hoping I might be able to finish it by the end of the readathon.

Number of pages I’ve read today:  100
Total number of pages I’ve read:  200

Saturday (Friday’s progress)

Not a bad day for reading today. I’m still enjoying this book.

Number of pages I’ve read today:  70
Total number of pages I’ve read:  270

Sunday (Saturday’s progress)

Managed a good reading sessions this afternoon. I think I’ll definitely get Fatal Inheritance finished before Bout of Books finishes.

Total number of pages I’ve read:  320

Monday (Sunday’s progress and final thoughts)

Good luck on the readathon! My goal is also to spend more time reading throughout the week, hopefully 3 hours per day and even more on the weekends. Hope we all reach our goals in the end of the thon 😀

Good luck with your reading goals, I didn’t set a ‘tbr’ list for this week. I am keeping my reading goals low for this week and hope to read 2-3 books this week for BOB 23. I finished reading Turtles All The Way Down by John Green last night and really enjoyed it a lot.

Thank you 🙂 Hope you manage your 2-3 books. I’m hoping I might get my current read finished, I’m quite a slow reader so doubt I’ll manage to start something new before the end of the readathon.
