Booking Ahead: December 2017

Booking Ahead is a feature on Pages and Tea where I glance through my never-ending TBR list/pile and select a few potential reads for the coming month. If I’m not reading books I love talking about books I’d like to read, so this post is a perfect excuse to do just that.

Welcome to another Booking Ahead.
I can’t believe that December is here already! The time really has flown by.
I don’t think I’m going to select a massive amount of books for the coming month, but here are a couple of books I hope get my attention in the next few weeks…

New Books

The Christmas Secret by Karen Swan – I usually pick up Karen Swan’s latest offering at this time of year. I really enjoyed last year’s Christmas Under the Stars, so I’m looking forward to starting this book too.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden – I mentioned in my latest Top Ten Tuesday post where this book featured that in the first place it was the cover that caught my attention, but when I glanced at the blurb I knew it was something I’d have to read. Folklore, fairytales and the Winter King sounds perfect for this time of year.

Books from the Backlist

I haven’t selected any particular titles from my huge backlist this month but if I have chance I‘ll try to add at least one more book to my Beat the Backlist challenge total for the year.

What are you hoping to read this month? Have you read of my picks, and if so what did you think?
See you again next month year for another Booking Ahead.
