Booking Ahead: April 2016

Booking Ahead is a new feature here on Pages and Tea where I glance through my never-ending TBR list/pile and select a few potential reads for the coming month. If I’m not reading books I love talking about books I’d like to read, so this post is a perfect excuse to do just that.

It’s time for another brief glance at my TBR pile to pick out a few potential reads for this month.

Snowblind by Ragnar Jonasson – I spotted this books while browsing the library’s new e-book catalogue and I’d just watched a tv series with a similar theme and set in Iceland which I really enjoyed, so reading this seems appealing right now.

The Living and the Dead in Winsford by Håkan Nesser – Yes, this book was on my list for last month but I became sidetracked when I started reading And Then There Were None, so this book is making a reappearance.

Day Four by Sarah Lotz – Trouble at sea, literally, as this tale centres around happenings on board a luxury cruise ship when the power fails and strange things start happening. I haven’t read The Three, but I’m not sure whether that will matter. Will have to let you know.

Honourable Mentions…

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas – I’ve had this book on my TBR pile for so long now. It was one I was really looking forward to getting my hands on so I can’t imagine why I still haven’t got around to reading it. Maybe April will be the month? We will see…

Are there any books you really hope to read this month? Have you read any of my choices and if so which would you recommend?
